Catcher Victor Martinez smacked 2 homeruns as the Dyersville Jurassics
defeated the Tombstone Huckleberries by the score of 6 to 2 at the
ballpark.
Dyersville scored the decisive runs in a big 9th inning when they scored 4
runs on 5 hits. The big moment was provided by Shane Victorino who deflated
the mood of the partisan fans when he laced a single scoring two baserunners.
Dyersville rapped out 10 hits for the night.
Brian Sanches(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Ramon Ramirez(2-1) was given the loss in relief. With this win,
Dyersville has a 24-20 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the loss,
the Tombstone ballclub's record is 23-21.
